Guess who’s fruit bowl turned up in the cloud this week?

Same simple design. Shiny new name.

After living with the name for a few years I feel it’s time to change it to something that is a little more….. fitting.

Bol? What was that about anyway?

The whole idea for this product started with the simple question “We take fruit from the tree, what happens if we were to put it back?”

The original name was an attempt at a play on words, taken loosely from the Spanish word ‘Arbol’ which means tree. In a flash of caffeine fueled inspiration this was shortened to ‘bol’, because its like a bowl, but not.

The new name is still Spanish, but now translates to ‘little tree’ which makes more sense given the original inspiration for the product.

So there you have it. The Arbolito Fruitbowl, available in plywood and polycarbonate.

 

Well… it has been a long time in the works but my new site is finally live.

A lot has changed over the last few years but I am still around, still designing, still selling my wares.
