AAA Cavalier Bremworth Trophy
In 2008 the Auckland Architecture Association (AAA) and sponsors Cavalier Bremworth commissioned a trophy for the annual Design Awards - now known as the Unbuilt Architecture Awards.
The awards have been running for over 20 years and showcase unbuilt or conceptual architecture projects carried out by professionals and students.
It is fitting then that the design for the trophy was inspired by the works of perhaps the most famous conceptual architect of all, Antoni Gaudi. The trophy takes its form from the hyperboloid, a geometric shape Gaudi commonly used throughout his work and is made from cast stainless steel and turned hardwood.
If you are a professional architect or student then be sure to enter for the opportunity to win $5000 in prize money as well as this prestigious trophy.
